INCREASED FIRE DANGER IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...
A strong cold front will move through the region on Tuesday and
usher in a cold, dry air mass through mid-week. Breezy northerly
winds of 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph are expected
to develop behind the front early Wednesday, while critical
relative humidity values of 20 to 25 percent are expected
Wednesday afternoon. These conditions, combined with dry fuels,
will enhance the potential for wildfire spread throughout the day
on Wednesday.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn. If you do burn, use extreme caution since fires can
quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
