A dominant lake effect snow band could produce snowfall rates in excess of an inch per hour this evening along a corridor including the cities of Ontonagon, Twin Lakes, Mass City, Nisula, Pelkie, L`Anse and Herman. Anyone traveling through this area in the next few hours should be alert to sharply reduced visibility of one half mile or less in lake effect snow and be prepared to slow down.
