Increased Threat of Wildfires This Afternoon... A very dry air mass has descended over eastern Kentucky and this will result in relative humidities dropping into the 15 to 20 percent range this afternoon. These dry conditions will mean an increased fire danger into the first part of the evening. Fortunately, winds will be less than 10 mph from the northeast through today helping to limit the potential for any fires to spread quickly. Very dry conditions will continue to affect the area on Wednesday, as well.
