A BAND OF HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT PARTS OF CHEMUNG...TIOGA...
BROOME...SULLIVAN...DELAWARE...SUSQUEHANNA...NORTHERN WAYNE...AND
BRADFORD COUNTIES...
HAZARDS...A band of heavy snow accompanied by winds of 20 MPH which
can rapidly reduce visibility to less than one mile. A quick 1 to 2
inches of snow could fall with this snow band. This will lead to
untreated surfaces becoming snow covered and slippery. Use caution
and plan some extra time to reach your destination this morning.
LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 627 AM EST, a band of heavy snow was along
a line extending from near Roxbury to near Downsville to near Sherman
to Brackney to near Sylvania and moving east at 35 MPH.
LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
Rockland, Chemung, Binghamton, Vestal, Johnson City, Endicott,
Southport, Barton, Kirkwood, and Sayre.
This includes the following highway exits...
New York Interstate 81 between 1 and 3.
Interstate 86/Route 17 between 59 and 69, and between 75 and 97.
Pennsylvania Interstate 81 between 217 and 230.
