Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Washington...
Chehalis River Above Grand Mound affecting Grays Harbor and
Thurston Counties.
Newaukum River Near Chehalis affecting Lewis County.
.Heavy rain over the Cascades and Willapa Hills has come to an end.
Most of the rivers in Southwest Washington will crest Wednesday.
...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY FRIDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Chehalis River above Grand Mound.
* WHEN...Until early Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 142.5 feet, the Chehalis River in Thurston County
will flood several roads in Independence Valley with swiftly
moving water including SR-12 and James, Independence, Moon and
Anderson Roads. Flood waters will cut off access to and from
Chehalis Reservation and inundate nearby farm lands. Some
residential structures may be threatened.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:00 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 140.7 feet.
- Flood stage is 141.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Wednesday morning to a crest of 142.5 feet late this
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday
evening.
