Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EST EARLY THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following
counties, Bell, Clay, Harlan, Knott, Knox, Leslie, Letcher and
Perry.
* WHEN...Until 600 AM EST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 247 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is possible in the advisory
area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain may result in minor
flooding.

Whitesburg, Harlan, Pineville, Hindman, Letcher, Bath,
Cumberland, Jenkins, Loyall, Fleming-Neon, Vicco, Wallins
Creek, Blackey, Big Rock, Leatherwood, Arthur, Big Laurel,
Yeaddiss, Big Fork and Pine Mountain.
