Scattered Snow Showers Monday with Possible Travel Impacts... Scattered to numerous snow showers are expected to develop Monday as an Arctic cold front works across the area. The combination of falling temperatures. strong wind gusts of 20-30 MPH and snow showers may allow for the development of isolated snow squalls, which are brief, but intense bursts of snow accompanied by strong, gusty winds, creating areas of near whiteout visibility and rapidly deteriorating road conditions. Even outside of squalls, snow showers and strong gusty winds may cause localized travel hazards during the daytime, particularly for high profile vehicles. Those planning to travel across parts of central Kentucky Monday should monitor forecasts, and be prepared for rapidly changing travel conditions.
