Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 AM EST THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following
counties, Fairfield and New Haven and southeast New York,
including the following counties, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and
Westchester.
* WHEN...Until 630 AM EST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 316 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall rates between 0.25 and 0.5 per
hour are likely to continue for the next several hours.

Bridgeport, New Haven, Stamford, Waterbury, Norwalk, Danbury,
Milford, Shelton, New City, Naugatuck, Newburgh, Ossining,
Peekskill, Southbury, New Canaan, Wolcott, Haverstraw, Mount
Kisco, Mahopac and Monroe.
