deaths occur in vehicles.
FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM EST THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is occurring.
* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following
counties, Fairfield and New Haven and southeast New York,
including the following counties, Putnam and Westchester.
* WHEN...Until 915 AM EST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 610 AM EST, emergency management reported flooding in the
warned area in the area of Danbury. Flooding is already
occurring. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bridgeport, New Haven, Stamford, Waterbury, Norwalk, Danbury,
White Plains, Milford, Shelton, Naugatuck, Southbury, New
Canaan, Wolcott, Mount Kisco, Mahopac, Lake Carmel, Sherman,
Brewster, Newtown and Fairfield.
