Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If
travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through
water of unknown depth.
COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EST THIS
EVENING...
* WHAT...Storm surge values of 2 to 3 feet and large nearshore
waves of 15 to 20 feet will coincide with the Monday afternoon
high tide to bring minor to moderate coastal flooding impacts.
* WHERE...In Maine, Coastal York, Coastal Cumberland, Sagadahoc,
Lincoln, Knox and Coastal Waldo Counties. In New Hampshire,
Coastal Rockingham County.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM EST this evening.
* TIDAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Flooding of low-lying vulnerable
locations near the waterfront can be expected with up to a
foot inundation in some low lying areas. Flooding will occur
along parking lots, parks and roads with only isolated road
closures expected.
* WAVE IMPACTS...Expect moderate to locally significant beach
erosion with considerable erosion of protected dune structures
due to large breaking waves. Splash-over may lead to ponding
of water behind dune structures and result in some flooding of
roads and vulnerable structures. Small rocks associated with
splash- over may result in damage to passing vehicles or
pedestrians.
Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.
