FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of North Carolina, including the following
counties, Surry and Wilkes and southwest Virginia, including the
following counties, Carroll, Floyd, Grayson and Patrick.
* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Periods of moderate to occasionally heavy rain will fall this
evening through Wednesday morning. Additional rainfall totals
are expected to range from 2 to locally 4 inches. The
greatest potential for any flooding will be near the crest of
the Blue Ridge.
