...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and expected to continue until
around midnight tonight when river levels drop below minor flood
stage.
* WHERE...Rocky River near Norwood.
* WHEN...Until tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Action Stage. The river begins to overflow
its banks in some areas upstream of the gage site.
At 20.0 feet, Minor flood stage. There is significant overflow
into adjacent pasture and lowlands.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:30 PM EST Wednesday the stage was 26.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 2:30 PM EST Wednesday was 27.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late this evening and continue falling to 5.2 feet early
Monday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
25.1 feet on 01/25/2010.
