Congaree River At Carolina Eastman affecting Calhoun, Lexington and Richland Counties. Pee Dee River At Cheraw affecting Chesterfield and Marlboro Counties. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South Carolina... Wateree River At Lake Wateree affecting Lancaster, Kershaw and Fairfield Counties. ...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SATURDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Pee Dee River at Cheraw. * WHEN...Until Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, River bottomland downstream from cheraw will begin to flood. At 30.0 feet, The higher bank begins to flood. Large areas of farmland and river bottomland near Cheraw will be flooded. Portions of Riverside Park become flooded. At 33.0 feet, Southeast of Wallace, water spreads onto Old River Road between Community Road and Highway 912. At 35.0 feet, Southeast of Wallace, Old River Road between Community Road and Highway 912 will become flooded and may need to be closed. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 AM EST Thursday the stage was 32.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:15 AM EST Thursday was 32.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of around 33 feet this afternoon.
