Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches over the higher passes with 12 to 18 inches over the higher peaks. Winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph. * WHERE...Western Plumas County/Lassen Park and West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada including Interstate 80 over Donner Pass, Highway 50 over Echo Summit and Highway 88 over Carson Pass. * WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 PM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery and snow covered road conditions. The hazardous conditions could make holiday weekend mountain travel very difficult with delays and chain controls. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels around 7000 feet this evening, lowering to around 5,500 to 6,000 feet late tonight and Saturday morning.
