SNOW SHOWERS WILL AFFECT JEFFERSON...COLUMBIANA...BEAVER... WASHINGTON...LAWRENCE...SOUTHERN BUTLER...WESTERN ALLEGHENY...WEST CENTRAL ARMSTRONG...BROOKE AND HANCOCK COUNTIES... Moderate to briefly heavy snow showers will be possible early this afternoon, which could result in a quick inch and hazardous driving conditions due to snow covered roads. Locations impacted include... Bethel Park, McCandless Township, Cranberry, Moon Township, New Castle, McMurray, Weirton, Steubenville, Butler, Washington, Franklin Park, Salem, East Liverpool, Aliquippa, Canonsburg, Beaver Falls, Columbiana, Monaca, East Palestine, and Wellsville. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 1 and 41. Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 1 and 37. Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 20 and 53, and between mile markers 71 and 90. Parkway North near mile marker 13. Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 5 and 51. Snow will lead to reduced visibilities and hazardous travel conditions. Icy roads are possible as the snow melts on the roads then quickly refreezes. Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time when traveling.
