WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS
EVENING...
* WHAT...Snow will continue throughout the day. Additional
snowfall accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are expected.
Accumulations totaling 6 to 10 inches with locally higher
amounts near 12 inches in higher terrain regions of the
Southwest Adirondacks and Southern Greens are expected. Winds
gusting as high as 30 to 40 mph in the higher terrain areas.
* WHERE...Mohawk and Schoharie Valleys, Greater Capital Region,
southern Vermont, Lake George and Saratoga Region, and the
Southern Adirondacks.
* WHEN...Through 7 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult today due to snow
covered roadways and reduced visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Though unlikely, there is a non-zero
probability of higher snowfall rates up to 0.5 inches per hour
throughout the day which could reduce visibility.
