WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING
THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Blizzard possible. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4
inches expected. Locally higher amounts near 6 to 8 inches are
possible. Winds could gust as high as 60 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest and west
central Kansas.
* WHEN...From Monday morning through late Monday night.
* IMPACTS...The combination of accumulating snow and intense
north winds will produce widespread blowing and drifting snow.
Visibility will be near zero at times, especially on open
rural highways, and especially Monday evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winter driving conditions will spread rapidly
and abruptly eastward Monday afternoon into Monday night.
Conditions will change quickly over short times and distances,
and motorists are urged to be prepared for the onset of
dangerous travel.
