Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

MORNING...
...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
10 AM PST MONDAY...
* WHAT...For the Frost Advisory, temperatures as low as 30 will
result in frost formation. For the Freeze Warning, sub-
freezing temperatures as low as 28 expected.
* WHERE...Southern Salinas Valley, Arroyo Seco, and Lake San
Antonio, Santa Lucia Mountains and Los Padres National Forest
and Mountains of San Benito and Interior Monterey County
including Pinnacles National Park.
* WHEN...For the Frost Advisory, until 10 AM PST this morning.
For the Freeze Warning, from midnight tonight to 10 AM PST
Monday.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Far interior locations of Monterey and
San Benito counties will see a few spots reach the mid 20s
Sunday night into Monday morning.
