WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM MONDAY TO 6 AM CST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 8 inches. Northerly winds sustained at 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * WHERE...In Kansas, Cheyenne, Rawlins, Decatur and Norton counties. In Nebraska, Hitchcock and Red Willow counties. * WHEN...From 5 AM MST /6 AM CST/ Monday to 5 AM MST /6 AM CST/ Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous to locally impossible travel conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy snow will rapidly develop across the warning area early Monday morning. Conditions will rapidly deteriorate around, or shortly after, sunrise. Heavy snow will persist throughout the day, tapering off from west to east late Monday night. Blowing snow will persist after precipitation ends. Conditions may not substantially improve until after sunrise Tuesday morning.
