FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM EST THIS MORNING THROUGH
THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...The Piedmont and western Sandhills of central North
Carolina, including the following counties, Alamance, Anson,
Chatham, Davidson, Durham, Forsyth, Franklin, Granville, Guilford,
Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Orange, Person, Randolph, Richmond,
Stanly, Vance, Wake and Warren.
* WHEN...From 9 AM EST this morning through late this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- One and a half to three inches of rain, most of which will
fall during a short period of time in heavy showers and
isolated thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, will
increase the risk of flooding.
