Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM EST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Ohio, including the following
counties, Monroe and Noble.
* WHEN...Until 715 PM EST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 221 PM EST, the public reported heavy rain in the warned
area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 0.7 and 1.2
inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 0.7 inches are possible
in the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dudley, Dexter City, Stafford and Harriettsville.
