WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Wet snow is falling. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches in the higher terrain of northern Sullivan County before changing to rain. * WHERE...Sullivan County in New York. * WHEN...until 8 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall amounts will vary greatly with elevation as snow mixes with, and changes to rain late in the afternoon and evening. Expect 3 to 5 inches in the higher elevations of northern Sullivan County, and 1 to 3 inches in lower elevations. Gusty winds are expected to develop this afternoon, but will be highest after the snow changes to rain. Still, winds gusting 25 to 35 mph with snow could reduce visibilities for a short period of time.
