FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EST THIS EVENING FOR ROCKINGHAM, STOKES, HENRY AND PATRICK COUNTIES AND THE CITY OF MARTINSVILLE... At 437 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has exited the warned area, leaving only light to moderate rainfall. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen since this morning, resulting in localized flash flooding of small creeks and streams. Multiple roads are reported flooded and impassible as a result. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area through 6 pm. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar.
