Additional rainfall to bring the potential for river flooding...
The area includes northwest Ohio and much of northern Indiana Friday
into Saturday. Ongoing mild weather and recent rainfall has elevated
numerous river levels and caused some to reach action stage.
Additional rainfall (up to 1.7") with wet ground conditions will
cause a high percentage of runoff and subsequent additional rises on
rivers with an increasing likelihood of flooding.
The potential for river flooding will linger into early next week,
especially across the larger stem rivers of the Maumee and Wabash
basins. Given the bitterly cold air arriving Sunday and persisting
through at least the middle of next week, there is some chance for
ice jams, but given the recent mild weather this ice jam potential
seems low.
