WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
MIDNIGHT CST FRIDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10
inches. Locally higher amounts are possible. Winds gusting as
high as 45 mph by Friday afternoon.
* WHERE...Portions of northwest Iowa, southwest Minnesota and
southeast South Dakota.
* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to midnight CST Friday night.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible by
Friday afternoon. Blowing snow could significantly reduce
visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning
or evening commute. The cold wind chills as low as 25 below
zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30
minutes.
