...WIND CHILL WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SATURDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow. Additional
snow accumulations of 4 to 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as
40 mph. For the Wind Chill Watch, dangerously cold wind chills
possible. Wind chills as low as 25 below zero.
* WHERE...Grande Ronde Valley and Wallowa County.
* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 4 AM PST Sunday.
For the Wind Chill Watch, from Friday afternoon through
Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
could impact the morning or evening commute. The cold wind
chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30
minutes.
