LIGHT SNOW ENDING TODAY, DANGEROUSLY COLD TONIGHT INTO NEXT
WEEK...
.Scattered snow showers will continue today, but any accumulation
will be less than an inch. Northwest wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph
will lead to areas of blowing snow and reduced visibility,
especially across western and southern Minnesota.
Meanwhile, confidence remains high that dangerously cold wind
chills will follow tonight, with widespread values of -25 to -
40 likely through early next week. A Wind Chill Warning is in
effect for western and southern Minnesota tonight through Sunday
morning. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for eastern Minnesota
and western Wisconsin tonight through Sunday morning. Looking
ahead, these will likely need to be reissued again for Sunday
night into Monday morning.

TO NOON CST SUNDAY...
* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow and blowing snow
with additional snow accumulations of up to one inch. For the
Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills expected. Wind
chills as low as 35 below zero.
* WHERE...Portions of central and east central Minnesota and
northwest and west central Wisconsin.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 6 AM CST early
this morning. For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 9 PM this
evening to noon CST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The cold wind
chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as
15 minutes.
