THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON...
* WHAT: Very cold wind chills are expected...with wind chills
ranging from zero to as low as 15 below zero. Heavy snow also
possible...with widespread total snow accumulations of 2 to 4
inches possible. Locally higher amounts possible.
* WHERE: For the Wind Chill Advisory...much of western...
northwestern...and northern Arkansas. For the Winter Storm
Watch...most of Arkansas.
* WHEN: For the Wind Chill Advisory...from 6 PM this evening to
noon CST Tuesday. For the Winter Storm Watch...from Sunday
afternoon through Monday afternoon.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS: With Arctic air firmly in place before and
after the winter weather arrives...impacts from snowfall will
last for several days...resulting in a prolonged period of
hazardous travel conditions. Bitter cold wind chills could
result in frostbite as well as significant impacts to
infrastructure.
