WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON CST TUESDAY... ...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT: Very cold wind chills expected...with wind chills as low as 10 below zero. Heavy snow also possible...with total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches possible. Locally higher amounts possible. * WHERE: For the Wind Chill Advisory...portions of central...southwest...and east central Arkansas. For the Winter Storm Watch...most of Arkansas. * WHEN: For the Wind Chill Advisory...from 6 PM this evening to noon CST Tuesday. For the Winter Storm Watch...from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS: With Arctic air firmly in place before and after the winter weather arrives...impacts from snowfall will last for several days...resulting in a prolonged period of hazardous travel conditions. Bitter cold wind chills could result in frostbite as well as significant impacts to infrastructure.
