WINTER STORM WILL WIND DOWN TODAY. HOWEVER OCCASIOANL SNOW SHOWERS AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO CREATE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. TURNING MUCH COLDER TONIGHT... .A potent winter storm will slowly loosen its grip on the forecast area today. Although the bulk of the accumulating snow has diminished, occasional light snow or snow showers will persist especially over the far northeast and east central portions of the forecast area into the early afternoon. Strong north to northwest winds gusting to 30 to 35 mph will continue to cause considerable blowing and drifting snow. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON... ...BLIZZARD WARNING IS CANCELLED... * WHAT...Occasional light snow this morning. Additional snow accumulations of an inch or two especially east of Highway 41 and near the lakeshore.
