CST WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...For the Wind Chill Warning, dangerously cold wind chills
of 30 to 35 degrees below zero expected through Sunday morning.
For the Winter Weather Advisory, near-blizzard conditions are
exepcted this morning in open areas. North-south roads will be
most severely impacted by the severe blowing and drifting. For
the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills of 20 to 30
degrees below zero expected.
* WHERE...Winnebago, Boone, Kane, Northern Will, and Eastern Will
Counties.
* WHEN...For the Wind Chill Warning and the Winter Weather
Advisory, until noon CST today. For the Wind Chill Advisory,
from noon today to 9 AM CST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Near-blizzard conditions in open areas will make
travel extremely dangerous early this morning. Drifting snow
will make some north-south roadways impassable. Avoid travel
unless absolutely necessary. If you must travel, expect slowed
speeds and include emergency supplies in your vehicle. Ensure
others know your travel plans in case you get stuck. The cold
wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as few as
10 minutes.
