* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills. Wind chills as low as 30
below zero.
* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Kansas.
* WHEN...Until noon CST Tuesday. The most dangerous wind chills
are expected between 3 am and 9 am Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on
exposed skin, or hypothermia, in as little as 30 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...West winds will be relatively light at 10
to 15 mph Tuesday morning, but with air temperatures well
below zero, wind chills will be dangerously cold for the
Tuesday morning commute to work and school. This is not
typical January cold, and being stranded outdoors without the
appropriate protection from the cold will be life threatening.
