...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 8
AM MST FRIDAY...
* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow. Additional snow
accumulations between 4 and 7 inches at lower elevations and
between 7 and 12 inches at some elevations above 5000 feet. For
the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills expected. Wind
chills as low as 45 below zero.
* WHERE...Portions of central and north central Montana.
* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 11 AM MST Thursday. For
the Wind Chill Advisory, from midnight tonight to 8 AM MST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult and tire chains may be
required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure
they are prepared for dangerous conditions. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed
skin in as little as 10 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The snowfall will be the heaviest Wednesday
evening through Thursday morning.
