steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery,
increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST
SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow. Snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches. Winds
gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...In Maryland, Garrett County. In West Virginia, Western
Grant and Western Pendleton Counties.
* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The
cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite
on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The combination of heavy snow and gusty
northwest winds could lead to blowing snow and reduced
visibilities resulting in near blizzard conditions.
