PATCHY BLACK ICE ON UNTREATED SURFACES... A markedly colder airmass has overspread the region, with temperatures currently in the 20s. While the colder, drier air will dry up some of the leftover standing water from any snow that melted on area roadways yesterday, some icy spots and black ice are likely through mid morning. Proceed with extra caution while outside. Motorists should drive slowly and allow for extra spacing between vehicles. Surfaces that appear wet may actually be icy, especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses.
