A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST TODAY...
* WHAT...Very cold wind chills. Wind chills as low as 10 below
zero.
* WHERE...The Carolina mountains and Rabun County in Georgia.
* WHEN...Until noon EST today.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on
exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Flurries and light snow showers will
continue today in locations closer to the Tennessee border, but
any additional accumulations will be light and primarily
confined to the higher elevations. Roads will remain slick in
locations that have seen accumulating snowfall since Friday.
