A BRIEF WINTRY MIX IS POSSIBLE SUNDAY MORNING ACROSS NORTHERN
PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS...
Ahead of a developing wet pattern moving into South Central Texas
late Sunday, northern parts of South Central Texas could briefly
see some brief rounds of light rain or drizzle change over to
sleet or freezing rain or freezing drizzle Sunday morning. The
very dry layer of air allowing this cooling to occur is expected
to moisten up to prevent the occurrence of any additional icy
weather conditions Sunday afternoon.
Areas generally north of a line from Del Rio To Boerne to Taylor
have the best chance of seeing this brief mix of what should be
very light winter precipitation. No measurable amounts are
expected, but portions of the Edwards Plateau, Hill Country and
Austin Metro area could briefly see ice collect on solid elevated
surfaces such as windshields and outdoor decking. No accumulation
impacts on area roads or bridges are expected at this time.
