conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you

ABOVE 7000 FEET...
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 7000 feet. For the eastern
Sierra slopes, total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches at the
resort level and two to three feet at the crest. For the Spring
Mountains and Sheep Range, total snow accumulations of 6 to 12
inches between 7000 and 8000 feet and over a foot above 8000
feet.
* WHERE...In California, Eastern Sierra Slopes. In Nevada, Sheep
Range and Spring Mountains-Red Rock Canyon.
* WHEN...through 10 AM PST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Heavy
wet snow will add weight to sensitive structures and rooftops.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Generally light snowfall this morning will
trend more showery this afternoon with a lull in the snowfall
this evening and overnight. Heavier snowfall will resume Monday
and persist into the late evening.
