* WHAT...Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of one to
two tenths of an inch.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Illinois and
northwest Indiana.
* WHEN...From 9 AM CST /10 AM EST/ Monday to 6 AM CST /7 AM EST/
Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Difficult travel conditions are possible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first round of precipitation will begin
as a light mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain Monday morning,
then will transition to a period of freezing drizzle in the
afternoon. A second more impactful period of precipitation is
expected Monday night. This will fall mainly in the form of
freezing rain. While air temperatures will be warming to near
freezing during the period of rainfall late Monday night,
subfreezing ground temperatures will continue to make for icy
