If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.
DENSE FOG ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO
NOON CST THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog and/or
freezing fog, affecting the area to varying degrees.
* WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas and central, east
central, and south central Nebraska.
* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to noon CST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,
along with possible freezing fog causing slick roads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Visibility will likely vary across the
Advisory area, as fog will not only develop at different times,
but will also vary in intensity, with many areas seeing visibility
drop to 1/4 mile or less at some point, but other places holding
up around 1 mile. However, even where truly dense fog might fail
to develop, any fog that forms in sub-freezing temperatures could
cause slick spots on roads and especially bridges for the Thursday
morning commute.
