FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM EST THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE
THURSDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall and snowmelt is
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central Ohio, including the following
areas, Monroe and Noble and northern West Virginia, including the
following areas, Eastern Preston, Eastern Tucker, Marion,
Monongalia, Preston, Ridges of Eastern Monongalia and Northwestern
Preston, Western Tucker and Wetzel.
* WHEN...From 7 PM EST this evening through late Thursday night.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A period of rain will overspread the area this evening
through Friday morning, bringing up to 2 inches of total
rainfall. Rain may act to melt snow, compounding flooding
potential.
