Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CST EARLY THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
counties, Chambers and Galveston.
* WHEN...Until 500 AM CST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 140 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Galveston Causeway, Galveston Island West End, Texas City, La
Marque, Hitchcock, Galveston Pier 21, Bayou Vista, Jamaica
Beach, Tiki Island, Port Bolivar, Pelican Island, The Strand,
Galveston Pleasure Pier, Galveston Island East End, Offatts
Bayou, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, Scholes Field, Crystal
Beach and Bolivar Peninsula.
