Icy travel this morning... Steady freezing rain has come to an end. However, there could still be up to a few hundredths of an inch of additional ice accumulation through the early morning hours. Outside of the immediate Champlain valley, many roads remain icy which will result in a hazardous morning commute. Precautionary/Preparedness Actions... Please use extra caution, especially on bridges, overpasses and around curves. Allow plenty of stopping distance and avoid braking suddenly. Remember, it only takes a glaze of ice to create hazardous driving conditions.
