FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northeast, and west
central Georgia. This includes the following counties: Butts,
Jasper, Barrow, Henry, Morgan, Newton, Rockdale, Walton, Clarke,
Jackson, Madison, Oconee, Lamar, Pike, Spalding, Talbot and Upson.
* WHEN...Through Saturday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A swath of locally heavy rainfall from Greenville to Athens
this morning will set the stage for possible additional
flooding as scattered showers and thunderstorms affect the
area today and Friday, as well as a more organized area of
heavy rain moves into the area on Saturday.
