may already be occurring. Persons along rivers and streams in the
warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and
property.
River rises are being affected by snow melt from a combination of
precipitation, warm temperatures, and heavy river ice.

Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...
Illinois River at Morris affecting Grundy and La Salle Counties.
For the Illinois River (Upper)...including Morris...Minor flooding
is forecast.
...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO EARLY MONDAY
AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by a combination of rain, snowmelt, and
heavy river ice.
* WHERE...Illinois River from Kankakee River outlet at Channahon
downstream to Heritage Harbor east of Ottawa, including the Morris
gauge.
* WHEN...From this evening to early Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Pine Bluff Road threatened west of IL-47
south of Morris. Dwight Road threatened south of Morris. High
water levels begin to impact shipping interests along the river.
At 18.0 feet, A few roads threatened near Morris. Low-lying
portions of Illini Park inundated near Marseilles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:45 AM CST Friday the stage was 14.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this evening and continue rising to a crest of 17.5 feet
tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
