FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northeast, northwest,
and west central Georgia, including the following counties, Butts,
Jasper, Barrow, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Dawson, DeKalb, Douglas,
Fannin, Fayette, Forsyth, Gilmer, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Lumpkin,
Morgan, Newton, North Fulton, Pickens, Rockdale, South Fulton,
Union, Walton, Banks, Clarke, Jackson, Madison, Oconee, Towns,
White, Bartow, Carroll, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon,
Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Polk, Walker, Whitfield, Coweta,
Harris, Heard, Lamar, Meriwether, Pike, Spalding, Talbot, Troup
and Upson.
* WHEN...Through late Saturday night.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- The highest risk for additional flooding will occur tonight
and Saturday morning over portions of northern Georgia where
an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain are possible.
