FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, northeast, northern, and southeast
West Virginia, including the following counties, in central West
Virginia, Taylor. In northeast West Virginia, Northwest
Pocahontas, Northwest Randolph, Northwest Webster, Southeast
Pocahontas, Southeast Randolph and Southeast Webster. In northern
West Virginia, Barbour, Harrison, Lewis and Upshur. In southeast
West Virginia, Northwest Fayette, Northwest Nicholas, Northwest
Raleigh, Southeast Fayette, Southeast Nicholas and Southeast
Raleigh.
* WHEN...From 1 PM EST this afternoon through Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...Rainfall amounts of one to two inches is anticipated.
This rain combined with melting high elevation snow will likely
result in rapid rises on area rivers and flooding of small creeks,
streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
