FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding is possible due to a combination of recent rain, snowmelt, and heavy river ice. * WHERE...Portions of northern and central Illinois and northwest Indiana. * WHEN...Through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Poor drainage areas may become inundated. Storm drains and ditches may be clogged with snow and ice, causing flooding. Localized water level fluctuations may occur due to shifting river ice. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Snowpack will continue to melt across the area and recent rainfall has added to the runoff due to frozen soils.
