Rises expected on many rivers and streams for the next few days... Recent rains and warmer temperatures in the mountains have increased snowmelt and water levels are already rising on rivers and streams. Rises are expected to peak Sunday or Sunday night then begin decreasing. Areas affected include the Cascades, eastern Oregon mountains, the Grande Ronde Valley and the Blue Mountain Foothills. Though rises will be substantial, no locations are forecast to reach flood stage at this time. This Hydrologic Outlook will be updated if conditions change from the current forecast.
