NWSGSP. Your message should describe the specific location where
impacts occurred and the depth of flooding observed.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 AM EST EARLY THIS
MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Portions of piedmont North Carolina, including the
following counties, Gaston and Mecklenburg and upstate South
Carolina, including the following county, York.
* WHEN...Until 330 AM EST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 116 AM EST, Previous heavy rainfall of 1 and 2 inches has
caused urban and small stream flooding. Area stream levels
are coming down, however, isolated minor flooding and
bankfull conditions will continue over the next few hours.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Uptown Charlotte, Central Charlotte, South Charlotte,
Southwest Charlotte, East Charlotte, Northeast Charlotte,
Northwest Charlotte, Matthews, Mint Hill, Fort Mill, Belmont,
Pineville, Tega Cay, Marvin, Freedom Park, Southpark Mall,
Charlotte Douglas Airport, The Arboretum, The Plaza and
Carowinds.
